Introducing the new Urban Decay Vice 3 palette that contains 20 amazing eyeshadows of high quality.
When UD contacted me for the launch event, I knew I couldn't pass up on it because i've been such a huge fan of Urban Decay for years!
There are several new items added to the NAKED line from Urban Decay this season, the UD Naked Basics 2 , Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette etc are a few examples that were launched a few months ago.
Now, Urban Decay is bringing their top-selling UD Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder into their physical stores, so hooray for us!

The Illuminated Shimmering Powder fits in the palm of your hand, and comes with a brush housed in a separate compartment underneath the powder.

Like:
Beautiful marble packaging, perfect for a gift
Beautiful subtle finish that gives a lovely glow for healthy complexion
Generous mirror & good quality brush

Dislike:
Bulky packaging: Although its only the size of my palm, this beautiful box is thick and bulky. It also does not fit into my usual make up drawer
Quality of box (packaging):  The box is slightly flimsy, and is not travel-friendly (Easily dent-able if you squeeze it among your luggages)

But overall, this is a good staple to have and it also doubles up as a beautiful vanity display piece!

Look at the new sleek packaging!
Now let's take a closer look inside
All 20 eyeshadows are arranged seamlessly, we have the perfect neutrals on the left, followed by jewel tones in the middle, and smoky shades on the right.
I also like it that Urban Decay has thought it all out for us!

You can create a single look with just 4 shadows with the 4 shades of each column without having to scratch your head about what colors to use to create a look.

« SWATCHES »
Starting from left to right
This first column contains 4 neutral shades, perfect for the girl who's not comfortable with wearing lots of colors.
Use all 4 colors to create a simple, natural everyday eyeshadow look.

♥ DTF - Taupe, matte, subtle floating pearls
♥  Downfall - Warm light brown, matte
♥ Undone - Pink Beige, matte satin, subtle floating tonal pearl
♥ Truth - Pale Pink, nude, matte

This second column contains eyeshadows that are highly pigmented, shimmery and bold.
For the party girl that like to play with colors! As you can see, these are pretty shimmery when worn under the light

Brokedown - Golden brown shimmer with gold micro-glitter, metallic
Heroine - Deep navy blue with subtle floating tonal pearl
Freeze - Medium blue with multo-dimenstional micro glitter, metallic
Dragon - Bright green shimmer, metallic

The third column boasts 4 warmer shades, perfect for fall.
A balance of a highlight shade, Bobby Dazzle, with Lucky and Vanity falling in the Autumn-y category with a orange and plum hues.

♥ Bobby Dazzle - White with pale gold micro-glitter, metallic
♥ Reign - Rich brown, satin
♥ Lucky - Bronze, metallic
♥ Vanity - Smoky eggplant with multi-dimensional micro glitter , metallic

The fourth column contain colors that are sweeter, tilting more towards reddish-hues and warmer tones.

♥ Sonic - Red-copper, metallic
♥ Bondage - Deep, smoky burgundy, shimmer
♥ Alchemy - Deep fuchsia, satin
♥ Alien - Pink- peach with golden shimmer

Lastly, the last column contains neutral colors that are darker, more pigmented and I would recommend one to use these 4 colors to create the perfect smoky eye.
Just be careful to go in with a light hand because the shadows are so pigmented!
I also like using Defy to fill in my brows :)

♥ Revolver - Soft black with subtle floating iridescent pearl, satin
♥ Defy - Smoky taupe, satin
♥ Angel - Light taupe with silver micro-glitter
♥ Last Sin - Champagne shimmer with silver micro-glitter, shimmer
