Family Time

Headed for a well-needed family breakfast on Deepavali (yesterday) and we decided to head to Tim Ho Wan since it's so rare that all of us were free.

 Finding a common time slot amongst all 5 of us was always a huge problem because everyone's so caught up with their own lives they barely have time for anything- I was so busy, my sis stays in hall, and my sis is prepping for her O levels etc

But since it was a public holiday and we havent had breakfast as a family for quite some time already, we made that day an exception.

Despite having to queue for 1 hour just to get in, it was well worth it.

Prepare to look at all the food photos (SPAM, BTW), and try not to drool in front of your computer screen okay! I found it really hard to not salivate while editing these photos hahaha. 

As usual, we over-ordered. This time, like mad! You will know what I mean when you scroll down later ><

In this set, I was supposed to play the role of a Dark Widow (Joel the photographer named it). 

Mysterious, sad, solemn, fierce, dark and in agony (?)

Hahah. It was my first time working on a piece like that and it was such an interesting experience for me. As most of you guys already know, I have been modelling for a year now, and most, in fact ALL of the shoots ive done are sweet, and smiley ones.

Attempting the straight face was always a challenge for me because i've always thought I looked better & slimmer smiling.

Joel's a close friend to a very good friend of mine, so thankfully we already knew each other prior to the shoot.

To be honest, I was always a fan of his work and i found myself liking most of the photos in his photography album each I saw them shared on my timeline.

HAHA and I even showed some of my friends his work before, LOL!

Here are some visuals of this gorgeous piece as I wore them out today.

The sky was being so gloomy, and it made shooting my OOTDs outdoors super challenging, hence the lower-than-normal quality photos :(

Butttttt... I did try my best! Haha braved the rain with my daddy, who has been the other photographer for all my ootd photos (apart from Matt) 

We figured out that shooting with an umbrella would be kinda cool too, but never did we think it was gonna be THIS challenging :( 

But thank God the sky cleared after and we could shoot properly again! 

I chose this dress because it was of a appropriate length and it was made of superb material.

Somewhat like those sturdy and durable material you'd find in expensive shift dresses that'd probably burn a big hole in your pocket.

The little slits at the sides are of the good size as well, sexy without showing too much skin.

This piece i would say, is perfect for working days when you just need some color and prints to spice up your outfit!

Pair it with your classic small accessories, bag and working heels

hello guys! i'm back again with another online store i'd like to introduce to you guys!

Remember the Asymetrical dress I posted on Instagram just yesterday? Guess where I got that gorgeous piece from!

None other than what I'm gonna be sharing with you guys about, ThePetiteRose!

The first should be a no-surprise to everyone. Hahaha it's a yellow bustier dress :)) Everyone knows how i love yellow, because I feel that it's the perfect color for my skin tone!

#1: Wonder Garden Bustier Dress in Yellow

This dress is an extremely sweet piece, with the bustier cut and the garden floral details.

I guess it really lives up to its name well!

Wonder Garden (It really feels like wearing an entire garden of beautiful flowers on myself that day)

This dress can be worn as a strapped dress, or also, a tube bustier dress. Simply tuck in the two straps in and wear it like how you normally would wear a tube dress.

It's quality is also a mega plus point as it is made of really good material (not sure what material tho) but it's pretty sturdy, im sure everyone who has this dress will know what I mean :)

Pair it with a pair of floral shades, straw bag or sun hat and you're good to go! 

The next item I picked was also a dress, its non other than the Asymmetrical dress I wore yesterday!

#2: Basic Slanted Dress in Black

Now tell me, doesn't this simple dress instantly make you look a thousand times more classy?

No need for branded bags or jewelry, this dress alone can achieve it for you!

The interesting and unique neckline is definitely the highlight of this outfit, so much that you don't even need a necklace to pair with it!

(Or just a simple one like the tiffany i'm wearing above)

Throw on some heels and blazer for work, or keep the blazer away and you're all set for a girls night out ;)

And the cutest part, I received this along with my parcel!!!!

A tiny hand-made rose along with the tag "thank you", awww so sweeet. 

Definitely the most interesting way of thanking their customers for shopping with them I must say, thumbs up for effort girls!

The second piece was their Floral Jeggings that was made in such good material. 

It's really stretchy and can fit different bottom sizes to a T!

Just yesterday morning, I wore the next piece,

Eden cut out floral romper in Black.

What more can I say about this piece? it's floral-y, has cut outs, romper.. MEEEEEE!

Changed into a pair of comfy shorts at night before heading out to meet my beautiful girls for dinner.

I know i'm a little obsessed with florals, but hey, its summer time now! Hahaha #dontjudge

We headed to Chillax Massage Cafe for some highly raved carbonara and Truffle fries. 

I've been on a truffle fries hunt lately, went to try the truffle fries at PS cafe, Coastal Settlement, Arbite, and now Chillax Cafe.

I would say, out of all these cafe, The coastal Settlement still serves the best truffle fries ever! (Y) (Y) 

Truffle fries. It was DRENCHED in oil.

Although some might say it's a good thing that the restaurant is so generous with their truffle oil, I just felt that the taste of truffle wasn't strong at all. 

Despite the fact that it was dripping off each strand of fries. 

Pretty disappointing meh:( 

Here are my two gorgeous ladies I've met during sports camp last year! 

They've definitely made SMU a much better place and they were a hugeee part of sports camp:)

Coming up, I'll be introducing another online store to you guys!

 It is no other than TOPAZETTE, which I recently did an outdoor shoot with. 

The lady boss was kind enough to let me pick any apparel I liked from the recent shoot which was just launched today, and as usual.... I picked their Evalyn Romper!

Everyone knows how mong loves her rompers. HEHE

It's made of such soft material, and its soooo comfy. I literally fell asleep in it this morning :P

Also it has a secure top band, supporting the tube. 

THIS to me, is something very very important!

Im sure its of no special news to everyone that i'm not blessed with a voluptuous body, esp in my upper parts of my body. *AHEM* Hence looking for any apparel in a tube form was always a problem for me. 

But with this, I had no problems at all! 

It made camwhoring and even chasing after the bus and squeezing through the rush hour crowd so effortless. HAHA

I've gotta admit.. Im always a victim of having to hold unto my tube top whenever I had to do vigorous or big actions because it would always slide lower. BOOO
